Adjustments to Mothership Communication Strategy
Mothership’s new communication channels: Monthly Bagholder Update, Blockfolio — Signal and more.
It has been a looong while since we last wrote in this space, we have genuinely been so occupied with the workload on different fronts. We are now back with one sole focused objective: reactivate our communications with the community through a renewed strategy on different channels.
New communication styles and channels
Through the reflections of how we have been handling communication and the community’s feedback, we have decided to create two separate channels for our communication for the interests of both Mothership and its supporters from now on.
For MSP token holders & supporters
For those of you who have been supporting us since the very beginning and are keen on updates of product developments and team growth, our CEO, Arseniy, will communicate with you directly through a Monthly Bagholder Update. The first letter in this series was delivered on the 3rd of November, 2018 and from then on, subscribers will receive a letter every last Friday of the month.
This Monthly Bagholder Update series was created so that Arseniy can speak with honesty and transparency to the community and keep our supporters informed on the project’s progresses. In other words, a monthly update directly sent to your inbox with no nonsense, no fluff, just straight up Arseniy’s style.
All questions will be addressed in this series of emails; become a subscriber to have your typical ‘when’ questions answered and be the first to hear about updates and other Mothership news. A friendly reminder is that Arseniy will drop by the main Mothership’s Telegram group chat for a few hours after the email is sent, so make sure to subscribe and join our Telegram group as well as be prepared with all your questions in case you do not find the answer(s) to your question(s) in the email.
To keep you in tune In between the two monthly updates, Mothership has recently teamed up with the #1 crypto portfolio tracker Blockfolio to become a Token team on their new communication feed called Signal. According to Blockfolio, this is “the place where you can find out about latest news, updates and exciting announcements from the executive leadership of the tokens you HODL”.
As Blockfolio — Signal is the perfect tool to complement the Monthly Bagholder Update, Mothership’s fans can expect to hear from Arseniy on this space anytime between the two updates. A super easy but detailed guide on how to use Blockfolio — Signal is presented here, remember to choose ‘Mothership’ as the team you want to follow once we are live and you will never miss any news from Mothership again.
For the general public
The Mothership blog, aka the Logbook, will continue to serve as a channel of communication for anyone who are interested in understanding the message of Mothership, what we stand for and also other official updates or protocols.
This Logbook is where you can find out about Mothership’s working culture and team composition through the special series of “Humans of Mothership”, in-depth analysis of new features and the reasoning process of how we arrive to the conclusion of executing such elements, our efforts of outdoing ourselves in every front and so on.
For the next few posts, our audience can expect a comprehensive analysis of the Mothership mobile app and its security features, our point of view on the current Know Your Customers (KYC) process on the market and why we decide to not use utility bill as part of our customer verification, the KYC procedure for digital nomads, the long awaited Coin listing process on Mothership, our pricing model and the $MSP token utility.

Close down of unmanned channels
For the open channels that have not received enough attention from us, we are closing down the Mothership Lounge and Trello. For whoever is still waiting for the Podcast series, we are sorry that it will not happen anymore after the departure of Dylan, our ex-Chief Growth Officer. We hope for your understanding that our team will be focusing on other channels that are more manageable and beneficial for both the community and Mothership.
A future (of communication) to look forward to
As we have summarised above, our foremost intention with the new strategy is to revive our consistent flow of communication with Mothership supporters. From now on we will do our absolute best to stick with this plan and keep you informed along this journey of building Mothership and beyond.
